PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-directional transmission waveguide film which allows small sized and compact optical mounting. SOLUTION: In the structure of the waveguide film, clad layers 3A and 3B having a low refractive index are provided on the upper surface and the lower surface of a film 1, and at least two core layers 2A-1 to 2A-4 and 2B-1 to 2B-4 the cross section of which is a nearly rectangular shape and which has a high refractive index are embedded in the respective clad layers at a desired interval. |
