PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration capable of operating peripheral equipment even without feeding power from an outlet attached to wall. SOLUTION: The peripheral equipment (114) used by a computer (110) is given power by an internal battery (140). A data line (116) electrically connects the peripheral equipment (114) to the computer (110). The data line (116) has a conductor (29) for transmitting data between the computer (110) and the peripheral equipment (114). The data line (116) further has a conductor (128) for transmitting power from the computer (110) to the peripheral equipment (114). The peripheral equipment (114) charges the battery (140) by using the power transmission conductor (128) and thereby eliminates the necessity of another power line in regard to the peripheral equipment (114).
