PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidification control method for an air conditioner for improving dehumidification performance and suppress the sense of air flow or of cold air, as much as possible. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner during dehumidification operation, dehumidification control for varying the capacity of a motor-driven expansion valve or a compressor is varied, by comparing the target piping temperature of an indoor heat exchanger and a piping temperature detected by a first indoor piping temperature detecting means with each other, a second piping temperature sensor is situated at an indoor heat exchanger, and based on the difference in temperature between the two piping temperatures, the target piping temperature is varied.
