PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device where nonuniformity in coating of mold release agent due to the difference in temperature of the mold release agent can be solved by heating the mold release agent with good heating efficiency and with safety. SOLUTION: In the device, a fixing roll 4, a coating roll 3 to coat oil O on the fixing roll 4 and an oil pan P to retain the oil O are provided A pipe 13 and a pipe heater 12 are installed inside the oil pan P so that the oil O is heated to above a specified temperature by the pipe heater 12.
