PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor with high marketability while holding a clearance between a rotor and a cylinder in a rotor head part to the minimal dimension in a rotary compressor. SOLUTION: The rotary head part is provided with the cylinder 1 having a cylindrical inner wall, the rotor 2 rotatably disposed inside the cylinder 1 and forming a small clearance 8 between a part of its outer circumference and the inner wall of the cylinder 1, and the rotor head part having a plurality of vanes 3 slidably inserted into a slit provided in the rotor 2. Resin coating 2a is applied to the outer circumferential face of the rotor 2 and a sliding surface formed by brought into a slide-contact with the internal circumferential face of the cylinder 1 is provided in the resin coating 2a.
