PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing tipping of a pile or the like capable of enhancing the support strength of the pile and providing excellent workability for driving-in by forming a rotatable projecting part for supporting the pile. SOLUTION: The means 1 for preventing tipping of a pile or the like includes a base part 2 provided at the front end of a pipe 5 and a projecting part 3 having a torque generating surface 32 and being rotatable in the direction of its outer periphery (X direction in Fig.). Upon insertion of the pipe 5 into the ground, the projecting part 3 is rotated in response to torque and opens to pull a root, providing great support strength for supporting the pipe 5.
