PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a composite mesh sheet having excellent printability and, as necessary, excellent water resistance and flame retardance without making an image on one surface visible therethrough to the opposite surface. SOLUTION: This composite mesh sheet for printing is obtained by forming a resin coating layer having >=8.0 Munsell lightness on the whole surface of at least exposed peripheral surfaces of constituent yarns of a base fabric composed of a coarse mesh knitted or woven fabric having <=7.5 Munsell lightness with a resin containing a flexible polymeric material [as necessary, including an olefinic, an acrylic and/or a urethane resin and a crosslinking agent such as an aziridine, a carbodiimide, an oxazoline, an isocyanate compound or a coupling agent, and further as necessary, including an ammonium polyphosphate or a cyanuric or a isocyanuric acid derivative flame retardant or a bromine- containing organic flame retardant and an inorganic flame retardant aid (antimony trioxide, aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide) ] and regulating the through-hole area ratio of the coarse mesh knitted or woven fabric to <=0.5.
