A multilayer reinforcing material comprising at least a first layer consisting essentially of at least a polymeric binder and at least a filler and at least a second layer consisting essentially of at least a polymeric binder, in which the said first layer comprises the said filler in a form which is substantially dissolved in the said polymeric binder.
