PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel connection joint allowing the connection and disconnection of a steering wheel with simple work without using a tool. SOLUTION: This joint is provided with a plug part 3 and a socket part 4 mounted to the steering wheel 1 and a steering shaft 2, respectively. Plural locking recessed parts 5 are formed on the circumferential surface of the plug part 3. On the socket part 4, a plug insertion recessed part 6 at its tip center and an abutting surface 8 in the depth of the recessed part 6 for abutting on the tip surface 7 of the plug part 3 are formed. On a circumferential wall 9 surrounding the recessed part 6, lock member fitting holes 10 corresponding to the recessed parts 5 are formed, and lock members 11 to engage with the recessed parts 5 in a press contact state by centripetally moving are centripetally and centrifugally movably fitted in the fitting holes 10. An operation sleeve 14 for stopping the lock members 11 by advancing while centripetally pressing them and for releasing the stopping by retreating is axially movably fitted to the circumference of the socket part 4. A spring 15 for energizing the operation sleeve 14 forward is interposed between the operation sleeve 14 and the socket part 4. |
