PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystalline film having a large tensile strength or particularly a large tensile strength in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin film comprises the step of heat-treating the film made of a thermoplastic resin exhibiting liquid crystallinity at a melting time in a state of winding the film at least three times or more in a longitudinal direction. Thus, the strength of the film is improved.
