PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the friction given to a spool during preliminary winding. SOLUTION: When a photographic film is preliminarily wound, a planetary gear connects to a spool gear 34a and a spool 34 rotates forward. When the photographic film is fed, frame by frame, on the other hand, the planetary gear 48 connects to a coupling gear 56 connected to a cartridge, the photographic film is wound into the cartridge, and the spool gear 34a rotates backward. A friction gear 42 fitted with a torsion coil spring 57 is connected to the spool gear 34a to give friction to the spool 34. When the spool 34 rotates backward, the torsion coil spring 57 is wound up, so the friction to the spool 34 increases. When the spool 34 rotates normally, the torsion coil spring 57 is unwound to reduce the friction to the spool 34.
