PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preservation case with superior strength allowing smooth housing and removal of specimen housing containers in a stacked state. SOLUTION: In this preservation case, an interior of a horizontally long box shaped case body is partitioned into a plurality of specimen housing container storing chambers by partition plates. Lock protrusion comprising semi- spherical small protrusions are provided in center parts of upper and lower opposing faces in an opening end of each storing chamber, and two through- holes comprising vertically oblong holes are bored in a rear face plate of each storing chamber in states mutually deviated a predetermined length in a vertical direction. It is composed so that the specimen housing containers of the stacked state are stored in each storing chamber by sliding them over the lock protrusions and when the specimen housing containers are to be removed, they are pushed out by inserting a finger through the through hole with a lower end positioned in a lower end part side of the case body.
