PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete box body capable of preventing the occurrence of a crack in the surrounding concrete into which a guide member is inserted even if great stress trying to cause lateral slippage is applied to the concrete box body, being not required for boring a hole into which the guide member is inserted separately from a hole for passing through a binding member without interfering with the arrangement of a cushion material and a reinforcing bar by placing the guide member, cutting down opening works and improving workability. SOLUTION: The guide member is provided for preventing the lateral slippage of the concrete box body when both concrete box bodies in front and behind are connected to each other or when an open shield machine is propelled, and for an open shield method executing the final connection of both concrete box bodies by passing the binding member such as a PC steel rod through a through- hole, the pipe-like guide member 14 is inserted in the end of the opening of each of the holes 13 formed in each of the concrete box bodies 4, and a hollow section 14a of the guide member 14 is used for a passing-through section of the binding member.
