PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an upper revolving machine body while reducing its width and making it easy to get on and off the body. SOLUTION: The upper revolving machine body 3 is turnably provided on the top of a crawler travel device 2 having a variable horizontal width that can be increased or reduced, and a working part 12 is provided at the front part of the upper revolving machine body 3. The turning radius of the rear end 3A of the upper revolving machine body 3 roughly corresponds to the distance L from the horizontal outer edge 2A of the crawler travel device 2 to the center Q of turning, and both side faces 3b and 3c of the machine body 3 in its cross direction, with the working part 12 pointed in the direction of advancement, are each formed in a three-dimensional shape along the longitudinal direction of the crawler travel device 2 so that a space above the crawler travel device 2 with its horizontal width being maximized can be open upwards and longitudinally. An openable and closable bonnet 25 for completely covering an engine provided in the machine body 3 is provided on top of the machine body 3. The bonnet 25 is entirely openably provided so that it completely opens the upper side of the engine.
