PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper strip for bank notes which is used for strip-sealing for the bank notes with sufficient strength, without soiling the bank notes. SOLUTION: The paper strip 1A for the bank notes is of such a construction that a barrier layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 are laminated on one of the sides of a base material 2. The barrier layer 3 possesses a function to prevent a constituent component of the adhesive layer 4 from migrating to the base material 2.
