PURPOSE: A data format method in connecting a voice call between mobile terminals in a mobile communication system is provided to effectively recover a data in occurrence of a data error by using a band increase area according to a channel coding, and reduce a data loss and provide a high quality mobile communication service by providing high data recovery rate as well as frame synchronous information by adopting a framing bit inserting technique. CONSTITUTION: A voice-encoded packet data received from a base station is subject to a message adding and preamble adding procedure and processed as a 40 bytes effective data. A channel coding is performed on the 40 bytes data with a particular code rate rule. By doing that, even though data is lost in a receiving unit of a VOCODER block, a strong data restoration capability can be given. A framing bit with a period repeated for every 20ms is punctured for the channel-coded 160 byte data. That is, specific bits are forcibly substituted with the framing bits and transmitted to a transmitting terminal. The forcibly inserted framing bits provide frame period information that allows to know a start point of 160 bytes by a 20 ms frame extractor included in a receiving terminal in a bypass mode. The fall-off bits due to the forcible insertion of the framing bits can be recovered to normal bit data like other bits by a channel decoder of the receiving unit.
