METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING IMAGE FILE IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting an image file in a mobile communication system is provided to transmit a still image such as a character for which a caller wishes using a method similar to a caller ID transmission method and display the still image on an LCD window of a receipt-side terminal when the caller calls an object. CONSTITUTION: A random image file for which a caller wishes is registered in a web server of a mobile communication service company. If a specific key for informing whether the image file is transmitted is inputted together with a telephone number of an object, a caller-side MS(Mobile Station) transmits the input content of the specific key to a BS(Base Station) using a specific bit. The BS reads a corresponding image file and transmits the read image file to a callee-side MS on the basis of the specific bit. The callee-side MS receives the corresponding image file from the MS and displays the image file on a terminal of a callee.
