摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-ceramic joined body in which defects or dispersion in strength are hardly caused in the joined part by selecting the material of steel and cooling conditions considering the melting point of brazing filler metal to be used. SOLUTION: This metal-ceramic joined body 1 has such as structure that a metal body 2 and a ceramic body 4 are joined together while interposing a brazing filler metal layer 3 between them. As the metal body 2, steel having properties of being hardened by cooling from its austenitic state at a prescribed cooling rate is used, and the materials of steel and brazing filler metal are selected so as to meet the expression 0.4 MPs<Ts<0.75 MPs [when the selected cooling rate is 0.1-200 ( deg.C/min)] (wherein: MPs is the solidus temperature of brazing filler metal; and Ts is the starting temperature of steel transformation from the austenitic state to a hardened phase formed when cooled).
