PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire distinguishing device capable of distinguishing whether a mounted tire is a summer tire or a winter tire. SOLUTION: This tire distinguishing device is provided with a rotational speed detecting means periodically detecting a rotational speed of four tires of a vehicle, a first calculating means calculating a vehicle speed from a measured value by the rotational speed detecting means, a second calculating means calculating acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle, a third calculating means calculating a slip ratio from the rotational speed of the four tires, a fourth calculating means respectively performing a moving average process on the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle and the slip ratio, a fifth calculating means determining a primary regression coefficient and a correlation coefficient between the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle and the slip ratio subjected to the moving average process, a sixth calculating means calculating a tire distinguishing coefficient on the basis of the primary regression coefficient when the correlation coefficient is a predetermined value or more, and a tire distinguishing means distinguishing the presently mounted tire from the tire distinguishing coefficient.
