PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the measurement accuracy of an ultrasonic flowmeter. SOLUTION: There are set a first vibrator 5 set to a fluid pipe line 4, a second vibrator 6 for receiving ultrasonic signals emitted from the first vibrator 5, a repeating means 11 for repeating transmitting ultrasonic waves between the vibrators by a plurality of the number of times, and a switching means 15 for switching transmission and reception between the vibrators. Moreover, there are set a time-setting means for setting a delay time between the repetitions and changing the delay time when the repetition finishes, and a flow rate calculation means for calculating a flow rate on the basis of a difference of repetition times. The accuracy for measuring the flow rate can be enhanced because noises of reflecting waves, etc., are reduced. The calculation of the flow rate based on the time measurement is facilitated with errors reduced because the delay time is not changed during the repeated measurement.
