PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective use of the foundation part of a detached dwelling house. SOLUTION: This underground space structure comprises a foundation slab 11 and foundation beams 12 suspended from the slab 11. A recess part 13 is provided in a portion 11a of the slab 11 to extend into the ground and an underground space A is provided consisting of the recess part 13 and the beams 12.
