摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are a transition metal catalyst compound used for producing aromatic vinyl polymers having an excellent syndiotacticity, a high melting temperature, a high molecular weight, and an excellent molecular weight distribution and a process for producing the polymers by using the transition metal catalyst compound. CONSTITUTION: The transition metal catalyst compound is produced by reacting a half metallocene catalyst, comprising a transition metal(formula A and B) bonded to cycloalkanedienyl as a main ligand and an ancillary ligand, and a compound(formula C, D, and E) having at least two functional groups such as carboxyl groups. And the transition metal catalyst compound has the structure formed by connecting the ancillary ligand of the half metallocene and the functional group. And the aromatic vinyl polymers are produced by polymerizing aromatic vinyl compound monomers in the presence of a catalyst system comprising the transition metal catalyst compound as a main catalyst and an organic metal compound or a mixture of a non-coordinated Lewis acid and an alkyl aluminum as a cocatalyst.
