PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reclaimed red-color phosphor for cathode ray tubes capa ble of stably forming extremely dense and high-grade fluorescent film compa rable to newly-made one. SOLUTION: This reclaimed red-color phosphor is obtained by recovering used red-color phosphor produced during the coating process for red-colored fluorescent film in manufacturing cathode ray tubes and recycling the thus recovered used red-color fluophor, wherein it is characteristic that the surface of the recovered used red-color phosphor is coated with at least one inorganic treatment agent selected from silicon oxide, zinc silicate and zinc hydroxide and carboxymethyl cellulose.
