PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain continuous information with a definite bearing. SOLUTION: In this inspecting method, a drilled hole 12 of a predetermined hole diameter is excavated and formed to a depth to be inspected in the ground 10. A ground inspecting device 14 is provided with a measuring part 16, an attitude controller 18, and a data arithmetic recorder 20. The measuring part 16 is suspended and supported in the drilled hole 12 and provided with a current electrode, a potential electrode, and a gyro. The attitude controller 18 controls the attitude and location of the measuring part 16 provided with the current electrode and the potential electrode, and the attitude is controlled by a detection signal of the gyro. The arithmetic recorder 20 measures the potential difference between the potential electrode and a grounded point on the ground side when a D.C. current is passe between the current electrode and the grounded point on the ground side to obtain resistivity valuesρfrom the measured values. In this case, as maintaining the constant bearing of the measuring part 16 by controlling the attitude of the measuring part 16 by the attitude controller 18, the resistivity valuesρalong the direction of depth of the drilled hole 12 are obtained.
