PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove abrasive grains and burrs without flawing the surface of an un-machined aluminum pipe for a photosensitive drum substrate subjected to processing by spraying with the abrasive grains. SOLUTION: After the surface of the un-machined aluminum pipe 2 is subjected to processing by spraying with the abrasive grains, the surface of the aluminum pipe is rubbed by pressing a rubbing material consisting of a porous soft body 1 having a 30% compressive stress of 15 to 1,000 g/cm2 and a pore diameter of 10 to 500μm.
