PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of an exterior material capable of joining the exterior materials in a state that a fitting joint is inconspicuous from the external, and easily mounting the exterior material to a building framework without cutting tiles when the exterior material is fitted to the neighborhood of an opening part. SOLUTION: An edge 12a of the opening part 12 formed on the building framework 1 is located on a position of an integral multiple of reference length B from a central part of a certain vertical joint 7c when a distance between adjacent vertical joints 7c, 7c is regarded as the reference length B. The exterior material 2 placed in adjacent to the opening part 12 is fitted to the building framework 1 in a state that a projecting part 13 projecting to the opening 12 side from the edge 12a of the opening part 12 is cut out. A cutting position N of the projecting part 13 is determined to an end part side of a base 3 with respect to the tile 4 positioned on an end part of the exterior material 2.
