<p>The synchroniser consists of at least one transmission pinion (2, 3) idling on a drive shaft and equipped with dogs (32) on one face (31), spaced evenly round its axis of symmetry. It has a sliding gear (4) with inner splines (41) to connect it with the drive shaft, and evenly-spaced dogs (42) on at least one face to engage with the dogs on a transmission pinion to rotate it. Each of the transmission pinions has a side wall (25, 35) surround its dogs and a groove (26, 36) for a flexible ring (27, 37) held in place by a circlip (28, 38) and designed to act as a brake on one of the side walls of the sliding gear.</p> |
