PURPOSE: An elliptically rotating wiper is provided to extend cleaning section despite lowering a rear glass by elliptically rotating a wiper and to safely travel by cleaning the rear glass. CONSTITUTION: A wiper of an elliptically rotating type comprises a wiper arm(6) inserted to an upper portion of a case(20); a guide slot(22) guiding movement of the wiper arm; a guide groove(24) guiding elliptic rotation of the wiper arm; a guide pawl(30) formed on a wiper pivot shaft(10); a slider(40) moving along the guide groove by being mounted on the guide pawl; a guide protrusion(46) installed on a side portion of the slider; a roller(50) inserted to the guide protrusion; a wiper blade rotating on a rear glass(4); plural riveting hole formed on an extend end; an upper member forming the slider; a flange having plural riveting holes; a recessed groove formed in the middle of the upper member; and a lower member. Thereby, the wiper of the elliptically rotating type extends cleaning section despite lowering the rear glass by elliptically rotating the wiper.
