PURPOSE: A device for driving a wiper by sensing rainwater is provided to automatically sense rainwater attached to a surface of a glass by changing a wiper into an actuating mode while traveling a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A wiper driving device by sensing rainwater comprises a rainwater sensing unit(10) outputting data; a light emitting diode(LED) discharging infrared ray signal into a surface of a windshield glass by being mounted on the rainwater sensing unit; a photo sensor operated by receiving the infrared ray signal by being installed on the rainwater sensing unit; an amplifying unit(20) amplifying an output signal from the rainwater sensing unit by an amplifier; a controller(40) controlling a wiper driving control signal according to the data of the rainwater sensing unit; and a wiper driving unit(50) deciding a driving speed of a wiper(60) according to the wiper driving control signal of the controller. Thereby, the wiper-driving device by sensing the rainwater automatically detects the rainwater attached to the surface of the glass by changing the wiper into an actuating mode while traveling a vehicle.
