PURPOSE: A piston valve of a shock absorber is provided to slow the increase ratio of damping force caused by a rise in speed and to improve riding comfort. CONSTITUTION: A piston valve of a shock absorber includes a body(11) installed to a piston rod, an intake valve elastically installed to the upper part of the body, and a disk assembly elastically installed to the lower part of the body. The intake valve opens and shuts compression orifices(11b). The disk assembly(17) opens and shuts extension orifices(11a). A disk for a high-speed valve(30) is installed between the body and the disk assembly with a diameter cutting off the plural extension orifices partially, and reduces the damping force at the high-speed section. A retainer(31) is installed to the lower part of the disk for the high-speed valve to maintain regular intervals with the disk assembly. Accompanying rise of the damping force at high-speed section is controlled though raising the damping force at low-speed section to improve riding comfort. Therefore, riding comfort at all speed section is improved.
