PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective fabric having lightness, softness and cut wound resistance which have not existed conventionally. SOLUTION: This protective fabric is characterized in that the fabric is constituted with a bulky finished yarn which comprises a yarn having a specific gravity smaller than 1.0 and a tensile strength larger than 15 cN/dtex and has >=6% stretch modulus.
