STYRENE-BASED RESIN FOAMED MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a styrene-based resin foamed material having an excellent chemical resistance in addition to excellent foaming property, molding property and rigidity inherent in a styrene-based resin, and also excellent in appearance and hot oil resistance, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This foamed material obtained by foaming a resin composition containing (A) a styrene-based resin and (B) a propylene-based resin is obtained by using the above propylene-based resin (B) showing <=130 deg.C crystallization- starting temperature measured in accordance with JISK 7121 at 10 deg.C temperature-decreasing rate. Also the foam membrane in the foamed material is formed by a layered structure consisting of a styrene-based resin (A) with a propylene-based resin (B), and the number n of a perpendicular line B drawn from the surface of the foam membrane crossing the propylene-based resin (B) on viewing the foam membrane from its thickness direction is >=4. Also the density of the foamed material is <=0.5 g/cm3 and its independent foam ratio is >=20%.
