PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a yield decrease because of failures of 1-2 bits when an actuator is fined in order to form recording images with a high resolution, without increasing a chip area and without using a new manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A redundant bit is set to the electrostatic actuator 14 which has pressure liquid chambers 19 including a diaphragm 22 and discrete electrodes 23 for displacing the diaphragm 22. When a defective bit not operating normally is generated because a foreign article 32 mixes between the discrete electrode 23 of one bit 30i among predetermined (n) bits 30 of the electrostatic actuator 14, the redundant bit is used without using the defective bit. Blank bits are thus prevented.
