PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly assembling equipment capable of automation of screwing work of screws and nuts and fully automating attaching work of end fixing members to the both ends of a temporary assembly. SOLUTION: In the automatic assembling equipment for fuel assembly for a light water reactor, an upper treatment device and a lower treatment device are provided for attaching an upper and a lower fixing members of individual structures to the upper and lower ends of the temporary assembly fixed and held in laid state on an assembling stage and for fitting both the ends of the fixing objective element to penetration socket holes of each of the upper and the lower end fixing members. Also the upper treatment device and the lower treatment device are provided with a screwing device for screwing screws, nuts and the like in the tip end of the fixing objective element.
