PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for an aqueous material capable of reducing the size of a device without increasing a space in a treating tank. SOLUTION: A plurality of injection nozzles 2a and 2b are situated such that injection steam is mutually collided with each other in the treating tank 1. Preferably, by situating the injection nozzles 2a and 2b opposite to each other and by injecting a steam jet from an opposite direction, steam is collided with each other, and a relative pressure is doubled to form a jet flow and to effect convention in the treatment tank, whereby a material being not yet dried is prevented from being adhered to an opposite wall surface and a space between treating spaces is further decreased.
