摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a beam radiation position only by adjustment in a light source part in a multi-beam scanning type imaging unit, to thereby separate electric handling operation and optical handling operation so as to facilitate assembly adjustment and maintenance, and to provide a new adjusting method for the radiation position. SOLUTION: A multi-beam scanning type imaging unit comprising laser diodes 7-1 to 7-3, a plurality of optical fibers 11-1 to 11-3 with one end thereof optically coupled with each output end, a waveguide array 35 having output ends with each of the other ends of the optical fibers 11 optically coupled, and disposed in a row by a predetermined interval, and a beam polarizing means for scanning a photosensitive member surface with a light beam, wherein the scanning position by the plurality of the output beams can be adjusted by providing the optical fibers 11-1 to 11-3 by different lengths, is provided.
