PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the wave making resistance of a rudder in the light load condition. SOLUTION: The rudder for ship is structured so that a fin 4 having an upper convex camber is installed approximately horizontally in the neighbourhood of the front edge of the rudder so that the installing position about the direction over the height is within 25% of the rudder 3 height below the draft line in the light load condition.
