PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ti alloy for a living body which does not contain elements having problems in toxicity and allergenicity, and has tensile strength of >=1,050 MPa and a Young's modulus of <=80 GPa, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The Ti alloy for a living body has a composition containing, by weight, 25 to 35% Nb, Ta of 36 to 45% in terms of Nb+0.8 Ta, 3 to 6% Zr and O+N+C of <=0.40% in terms of O+1.6N+0.9C, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. The alloy has tensile strength of >=1,050 MPa and a Young's modulus of <=80 GPa. |
