PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor which minimizes deterioration as caused by heat of a separator by arranging a structure that hinders heat from an outer cylinder from being transmitted to the separator. SOLUTION: The oxygen sensor is provided with main metal fittings 12, a first outer cylinder 13, a second outer cylinder 14 and the separator 16 installed into the second outer cylinder 14. A packing 15 is installed on one end side of the separator 16 so as to encircle it and a rib 161 on the outer circumferential surface thereof. This can hinder heat from being transmitted to the separator 16 in the second outer cylinder 14 thereby keeping it from heating up to a high temperature. This can check deterioration as caused by the high temperature of the separator 16. |
