PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field noise measuring device and a method for the same capable of measuring the electric field noise radiated from a cable of the complex shape. SOLUTION: The electric field strength of the electric field noise from a test cable 20 is detected by a first detecting means 3, the common mode voltage produced in the test cable 20 is detected by second detecting means 1, 2, and a coefficient of correlation representing a correlation degree of a spectrum of the electric field strength and a spectrum of the common mode voltage is calculated and stored. The second detecting means 1, 2 detect the common mode voltage produced in a measured cable 20A of the kind same as the test cable 20. A spectrum analyzing means 7 analyzes the spectrum of the common mode voltage relating to the measured cable 20A. A spectrum operating means 9 multiplies the spectrum data of the common mode voltage relating to the measured cable 20aA, by the coefficient of correlation to estimate and calculate the electric field strength of the electric field noise radiated from the measured cable 20A. |
