PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict levitation of a governor tensioner. SOLUTION: This governor tensioner 7 comprising a sheave 8 and a weight 9 is mounted on a governor rope 6 of a governor for a desired tension. The governor tensioner 7 is supported by an arm member 22 rotatably supported on a guide rail 3 side at its root side extending transverse from the guide rail 3 side. A tooth shape part 35 is formed on the root side of the arm member and a nail member 37 to be engaged with the tooth shape part is mounted on the guide rail 3 side for a free downward move of the governor tensioner to prevent an upward move. Thereby a case that the governor tensioner levitates and temporarily lose the tension of the governor rope is prevented even when an exciting force is applied to the governor rope.
