PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a tip end of a recording paper from a recording paper roll with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A pair of tilting rollers 43 is mounted to a retaining member 44. The respective tilting rollers 43 are obliquely pushed to a corner of the recording paper roll 17. Since both sides of a color thermo-sensitive recording paper 19 are pushed to a center by the tilting rollers 43, a center part is floated up from an outer periphery surface of the recording paper roll 17. A separation plate 46 enters the floated up part. Thereby, a tip end of the color thermo- sensitive recording paper 19 is separated from the recording paper roll 17.
