A hydrocarbon and oxidant gas composition monitoring and regulating process involves gas analysis immediately after mixing ( and gas component supply regulation (7, 9) in accordance with the analysis. A monitoring and regulating process for a gas composition consisting of a hydrocarbon and oxygen and/or oxygen-rich gas mix comprises analyzing the gas composition (5) after mixing (3) but before thermal conversion (6) and, depending on the analysis, regulating (7, 9) the hydrocarbon (1), oxygen, oxygen-rich gas mixture (2) and/or oxygen-containing gas mixture (2) supply. An Independent claim is also included for equipment for carrying out the above process. |
