<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail attached with nonslip material of favorable appearance and a sense of unity capable of efficiently covering a core material with only a little resin material, and improving a freedom degree of design of the handrail, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: This handrail 1 has protruded parts 1a in the length direction for achieving nonslip effect, and protruding pieces 3 of a specified form are disposed on a side surface of the core material 2 comprising a metal pipe or the like. A cover material 4 comprising resin material is provided on the outer side of the core material 2 and the protruding pieces 3. As a positioning means, a protrusion 3a and a positioning hole H may be provided on a contact part of the core material 2 with the protruding piece 3. This method of manufacturing the handrail 1 comprises a process of roughly horizontally holding the core material 2 comprising a metal pipe or the like, a process of placing the protruding pieces 3 on an upper part of a circumferential surface of the core material 2, a process of extruding resin material to the outer circumference of the core material 2 to cover the core material 2 and the protruding pieces 3, and a process of hardening the resin material to fix the protruding pieces 3 to the circumferential surface of the core material 2.</p> |
