摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of manufacturing processes and to prevent generation of additional failure due to the reduction of the manufacturing processes with respect to an array substrate for a planar display device having a light-transmitting thick resin film, a light-shielding film on TFTs and columnar spacers. SOLUTION: A punched part 51 is formed in the light-transmitting thick resin film 5 in the position near the channel part 71 of a TFT 7. The light- shielding thick resin film 8 is formed only on the punched part 51 and on a specified part on a scanning line 11. Thereby, the columnar spacer is formed only in the specified part on the scanning line 11 where the light-shielding thick resin film 8 and the light-transmitting thick resin film 5 are overlapped. On the other hand, the channel part 71 of the TFT 7 is sufficiently shielded from light by the light-shielding thick resin film 8.</p>
