PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tooth for excavation whose stability is improved to installation at a pointed end section. SOLUTION: The tooth for excavation for installation to an excavating edge for an excavator has a wearing member (12) in which bearing surfaces (67, 68 and 72) are mounted on a socket, and the bearing surfaces are extended in approximately parallel to the vertical axis of the tooth for excavation. The bearing surfaces are formed so as to be remarkably expanded with backward extension, and wide bearing surfaces are provided at the rear end section (84) of the wearing member. The bearing surfaces are arranged among the converging walls (78 and 79) and side walls (74 and 75) of the socket at obtuse angles to these walls, and the generation of a stress concentration region is prevented. The wearing member is fixed onto an adapter by a lock, and the lock facilitates the mounting and demounting of the wearing member. |
