PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material which causes no trouble of a sensor in an image setter and exhibits good photographic performance even with an exhausted developing solution. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion on a support, a substantially non-photosensitive silver halide emulsion is contained in the silver halide emulsion layer or another hydrophilic colloidal layer, the amount of the non-photosensitive silver halide is 10-200 mg/m2 (expressed in terms of silver) and the transmittance of the sensitive material at 900-950 nm is lowered by >=5% (as the absolute value) on average by incorporating the non-photosensitive silver halide emulsion. A processing method for the sensitive material is provided.
