PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for operating a drive gear (3a) of an adjustor (3) of a car seat which is so formed as to enable a quick and easier adjustment and a finely regulated adjustment concerning a large adjustment process. SOLUTION: A device for operating the drive gear 3a of an adjustor 3 of the car seat has a step switch device 4c which is manually operable through a turning lever 4a and works in two directions and the step switch device is in the rotary link with the drive gear for the rotation of the drive gear 3a. The releasing of the rotary link is made possible between the step switch device 4c and the drive gear 3a.
