PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table feeder for a machine tool with no burnout. SOLUTION: This feeder of the table 4 is linearly movably supported on a pair of guide rails 31 and 31 provided in a bed having recessed-sectional sidewalls 7a and 7b via a pair of sliders 41 and 41. A projecting part suspended to the recessed part of the bed is fixedly provided in the central part in the underside of the table 4, magnets 44 and 44 are provided in the both-sides wall surfaces of the projecting part in parallel to the recessed sidewall of the bed, coils 47 and 47 are provided in the both surfaces of the recessed inner wall surface of the bed, and the two pairs of magnets and coils are formed into a linear motor. This table feeder for the machine tool is characterized in that the operation of the linear motor can linearly move the table, cooling medium passages 47b and 47b for cooling the heat generated from the coils and guide rail cooling medium passages 62 and 62 are provided in the recessed-sectional sidewalls.
