PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tiller partly rotatable in normal and reverse directions, to be connected to a mobile vehicle, enabling easy turning of the vehicle attached with the tiller and causing little adhesion and deposition of the tilled soil thrown by the reversely rotating tine. SOLUTION: A normally rotating tine shaft cylinder and a reversely rotating tine shaft cylinder are coaxially supported in the holding part of a normal and reverse transmission mechanism placed under a tilling transmission case extending slantly downward to the back from the transmission case of the mobile vehicle. The front end of the case above the holding part is retreated behind the front end of the case of holding part of the normal and reverse transmission mechanism.
